Apprenticeship Standard: Employability Practitioner, Level 4

In addition to our Leadership & Management and Careers Guidance apprenticeships we are delighted to announce our new Apprenticeship Standard: Employability Practitioner. Approved in February 2019.

The level 4 employability practitioner apprenticeship is ideal for professionals in any sector, whether private, public or charitable, where they are supporting people with their employability.

Who is this standard for?

The Level 4 Employability Practitioner apprenticeship is ideal for professionals in any sector, whether private, public, or charitable, where they are supporting people with employability.

It gives professionals the skills, knowledge, and behaviours essential for helping people obtain appropriate, permanent employment.

An employee in this occupation will be responsible for supporting a caseload of the hardest to help individuals to change behaviours and develop knowledge and skills to improve their employability.

This occupation is found in small, medium, or large organisations who will deliver employability support through local and national contracts across different public services, such as back to work programmes, careers advice and guidance, housing, probation, health, social care, apprenticeships, and skills development.

Apprentices without GCSE / Level 2 equivalent in English and Maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End-Point Assessment – an additional qualification under their belt.

  • This Level 4 programme is typically over 24 months; however, we aim to help the learners achieve this in 18 months, which also includes the Advice and Guidance Level 4 Diploma as an additional benefit.
  • This means that individuals can train to work in the expanding employability sector through this apprenticeship route.
